Collection: Mother’s Day

She gave us wings to fly, but always stayed close enough to catch

- tkc

Inspired by a poem I wrote on motherhood, and the mixed emotions of both joy and heart ache watching our babies grow.

The balance of letting go, and always being there.

Teaching them to soar, but following close behind, ready to catch them if they fall.

I created these two paintings to represent the beautiful entanglement of both, and the dichotomy that motherhood is.
